About Townsend Collective
Townsend Collective is locally owned and operated graphic design and photography company started in 2014, as well as the parent company of Commonform Jewelry. Both operate out of a studio space in Bozeman’s historical Cannery District. Owner, photographer, and designer Stacy Townsend works with all types of clients and aims to deliver excellent service to clients with high quality design and photography that speaks to the individuality and vision of each client.

Business Operations Manager
OVERVIEW
The main purpose of this position is to provide support for a variety of existing and new client projects, with a focus on facilitating excellent client experiences. Operations management and design and photography project management experience is ideal, although direct design industry experience is not required.
This position also includes photo editing, design revisions, general support, client communications and execution of a variety of design and photography projects for clients. Collaboration and thought partnership on projects is always encouraged, however the role mainly requires working on established projects and recurring tasks.
The right candidate will be friendly and professional, helping us to build and maintain client relationships with every interaction. This role provides opportunities for collaboration as well as independent work. It is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated personality that enjoys taking ownership of their work and the tangible satisfaction of collaboratively managing a fast-paced constantly evolving collection of projects.
Position details + preferred availability
This is a part time, non-exempt position with a starting hourly wage of $22 per hour, depending on experience.
Our ideal candidate would be satisfied with 20 scheduled work hours per week, but would also have availability to fulfill additional hourly work on an as needed basis.
In this position you will be subject to a six-month probationary period, starting on your first day of work. Opportunity for performance based raise after 2-4 months.
WORK LOCATION
This position is based out of Bozeman, Montana. Opportunities for remote or hybrid employment may evolve, though they are not immediately available.

Responsibilities of this role include:
Create, monitor and manage high volume of evolving tasks and client project details.
Provide execution and revision support on a variety of design projects with exceptional attention to detail.
Utilize brand guidelines and existing designs to guide the creation of additional collateral for clients.
Photo processing + editing: importing raw photos to the appropriate storage locations, image selection and photo editing (most often brand, lifestyle + real estate), as well as export + delivery of final galleries and managing back-ups and organized archiving.
Print management + facilitation (Assist with sourcing, production, preparing press-ready files, proofing + delivery).
Communicate with clients and potential clients about the company's approach and services; as well as individual projects (ensuring calls and emails answered in a timely, upbeat, and professional manner).
Onboard new clients; gather and organize client documents and data; serve as guide to completing questionnaires and discovery work.
Provide ongoing client service; efficiently handle client requests for additional support.
Capture notes from client calls and meetings; fully leverage and optimize the use of our task management system (Asana) and electronic files (Dropbox).
Help ensure that office operations (files, phones, email, mailings) are in good working order and running efficiently.
Coordinate client meetings and other engagements/events (calendar management).
Help advance Townsend Collective's commitment to exceptional client service.
what it takes (desired qualifications)
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or equivalent work experience preferred.
A design portfolio of projects relevant to this position.
Proficiency in Mac systems.
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Indesign, Lightroom, and Photoshop).
Experience in web builder programs (specifically Squarespace).
Strong conceptual thinking + exceptional communication skills.
The ability to follow a design brief and adhere to brand standards.
Ability to work and interact with a creative project team, including clients and external creative partners.
Exceptional organizational skills, professional demeanor and a love for organization + efficiency.
A proactive and natural problem solver - identifying opportunities for improvement in a timely and effective manner.
Ability to address emergent issues including urgent client requests.
A commitment to excellence; detail-oriented and client-focused.
Tech-savvy; strong ability to learn and apply new software systems quickly.
Ability to receive and implement feedback on creative work.
Desire to take initiative to find solutions and additional ways to support in any situation.

Working Conditions
Our space and team thrives in a relaxed, yet efficient environment. We usually have 3-5 people in the studio at a time, and do mostly independent work, however we love to collaborate with each other when needed.
Ability to climb one flight of stairs (studio space is located upstairs, showroom and restrooms are downstairs).
We can accommodate standing or sitting throughout the day, as preferred.
Screen time - this position requires being in front of a computer for the majority of workdays.
Open workspace - we operate in an open workspace mostly used for jewelry production which can be loud at times. Most employees put headphones on to focus which is welcomed in our space.
